The clearance can consist of rust, layer of salt deposits or other non-conductive coating (paint, varnish, enamel, plastic, etc.).

Connection to a tablet, smartphone or another Android OS device allows expanding the capabilities of EM2210 thickness gauge to the level of modern flaw detectors capable of displaying and saving A-scans, B-scans, capable of working with strobes, selecting a thickness measurement mode, signal processing parameters, etc.

Range of measured thickness for steel: 2-60 mm.
